The city of Kent is restoring the sagging pavement and providing drainage to reduce future damage along South 208th Street.
Crews will install a new guardrail along South 208th Street between the State Route 167 overpass to South 212th Street. Crews will begin work in early July and be finished by August, according to city Public Works staff.
A majority of the work will occur during weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Occasional weekend work may occur to help expedite completion of the project.
• The section of South 208th Street around the 92nd Avenue South intersection will be closed during the duration of the project
• A detour route will be provided for residents of the Chestnut Ridge neighborhoods
• Your commute to and from work may be delayed
