Muttley Crew 4-H Club members want to help animals in need.
Throughout May and June, the club is collecting gently used towels and fleece blankets for the cats and dogs awaiting adoption in the King County Animal shelters.

Some 4-H members found their pets at the King County Animal Shelters and now are enjoying them through 4-H activities.
Russell Johnson, a junior member of Muttley Crew in Covington, found his dog there in August 2006.
She is a purebred, female Australian cattle dog named Pepper that was found wondering the streets of Bellevue at 8 months.
King County Animal Shelter staff treated her injured tongue and vaccinated and spayed her.
To ensure she would fit well into Russell’s family, an animal control officer interviewed the family and had their two previously rescued dogs meet Pepper.
Since then Russell and Pepper have been learning obedience, showmanship, agility, and tricks through dog 4-H and other classes.

Reber Ranch, 28606 132nd Ave. S.E., Covington Animal Hospital, 27045 174th Place S.E., and the King County 4-H Extension Office, 200 Mill St., Renton, as well as a few other locations.
