More than 45 cars are lined up in Kent for the second annual Classic Car and Motorcycle show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Torklift Central RV Center, 917 Central Ave. S.

The show is free and the first 180 people receive a free lunch from Ben’s Big Dogs & Icy Treats, according to a Torklift Central media release.

“Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top three classic cars,” said Greg Joyce, Torklift Central RV general sales manager. “There will also be a people’s choice award chosen by the public.”

Karen Rosier from Seattle/Tacoma KOA, Ken Sharp from Minutemen Press and Dana Ralph, Kent City Councilmember, will be the judges at the event and choose the top three classic cars. The cars are from 1976 and earlier.

“There will be thousands of dollars in products raffled off during the event,” Joyce said.

During the show, Torklift Central RV is collecting donations and stuffing an RV full of items to send to U.S. troops overseas. The business is collecting items such as non-perishable food, hygiene products, reading materials and games for troops. Local schools are submitting letters to send with the care packages as well. For each item donated to Stuff the RV, an additional raffle ticket is given.
