The city of Kent wants resident feedback about a preliminary preferred concept design for a new YMCA and renovation of Morrill Meadows and East Hill parks.
People can go to MyKentParks.com to view the design and fill out a short survey. The deadline for responses is Dec. 18.
The city’s goal is to combine the two parks, located on the north side of South 248th Street just east of 108th Avenue SE, into a larger, updated community park and to set aside space for a new YMCA.
The planning process for this project has been underway for the past several months. The public was asked to provide input last June, and then again in August. Comments from those two prior rounds were used to inform a preliminary preferred concept.
