A City of Kent Neighborhood Program and Cultural Communities Board Workshop will include friendly, engaging conversation about race.
The workshop is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St. Participation is limited to the first 100 who register. Registration is required. Reserve a spot on this city website link.
The program is part of Under Our Skin in conjunction with the King County Library System. Under Our Skin grew out of conversations at the Seattle Times about how the newspaper covers race – from police shootings, the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, campaign rhetoric and protests at college campuses.
