Put the kids in the stroller and roll on over to Children’s Home Society of Washington’s Roll and Read event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19.
Parents and children can walk, bike, pull a wagon or push a stroller through downtown Kent while enjoying various reading activities along the way. Cat in the Hat, Waldo and other literary characters will also be present.
Walks begin every 15 minutes at the center, 212 Fifth Ave. S., Kent.
Sponsored by CHSW’s Parent as Teachers, Parent-Child Home, Early Head Start and Head programs, Roll and Read promotes early reading skills and healthy families. The event is open to families with children of all ages. For more information, visit www.childrenshomesociety.org.
