2009-10: Charles played in 70 games this season and registered 21 goals and 34 assists for 55 points with 23 penalty minutes. Charles tallied a hat trick against Prince George on October 17. Charles had a six-game point streak in November, a five-game point streak in late February and a four-game point streak in early February. Charles had two assists in a game four times and three assists in a game once. He had a hat trick vs. Prince George on October 17, a two-goal game vs. Prince George on January 9 and at Prince George on February 23.

2008-09: Charles played in 56 games and registered 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. He spent 29 minutes in the penalty box during the regular season. During the playoffs Charles played in five games scoring one goal and getting one assist for two points.

2007-08: Charles played in 45 games for the T-Birds. He scored three goals and tallied four assists for seven points. He also recorded a 2 game point streak against Portland and Kamloops.

2006-07: Wells played for the Edmonton South Side Athletic Club Midget AAA team. He appeared in 35 games and had seven goals and 28 assists for 35 points. Charles also had 62 penalty minutes.
