Children’s Home Society of Washington hosts its annual Roll & Read event on Saturday, Aug. 3.
Bimbo Bakeries and Wells Fargo support the event that celebrates learning for all ages. The free event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Start at the South King County Family Resource Center, 212 Fifth Ave. S., Kent, and then walk or stroller through downtown Kent enjoying games and activities at each stop.
The event features a scavenger hunt, stroller/wagon decorating contest and other activities. The first 100 children who are in kindergarten through fifth grade will receive a free backpack and new book to take home.
