Baseball fans can save parking hassle and gas money by taking Sound Transit’s Sounder train to the Mariners 1:10 p.m. game on Sunday, July 13, against the Oakland Athletics at Safeco Field in Seattle.
The train from the south will leave Lakewood at 10:45 a.m., arrive in Kent at 11:32 a.m. and get to Safeco at noon. Return trains will leave King Street Station 35 minutes after the game. The adult fare is $3.50 each way.
Sounder trains will serve three remaining Mariners games through August. A complete schedule of game day train service is available at soundtransit.org/Schedules/Event-services.
Special Sounder service is in addition to regular Link light rail service to and from Safeco Field. Link runs every 10 minutes on Sunday and serves 13 stations in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac. Link’s Stadium and International District stations are a short walk from Safeco Field.
Many ST Express buses also drop off passengers near the stadium. Link and ST Express bus schedules are available at soundtransit.org/Schedules.
Regular fares apply for all Sound Transit services.
