Divers didn’t find anybody inside a vehicle discovered Monday afternoon in the Green River near the 25000 block of Frager Road in Kent.
“It will be hooked up to a tow and dragged out,” said Sgt. Cindi West, spokeswoman for the King County Sheriff’s Office.
It is unknown how long the vehicle had been in the river, according to the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority.
The small, white car was reported to 911 at 2:10 p.m. Monday. It is unknown where or when the car entered the water. Debris on the roof indicated that it may have been submerged for a significant amount of time, according to the Kent RFA.
Possible reasons for no one noticing the vehicle could be the lack of clarity of the water or the high water level, officials said.
