A car with two passengers lost control on Interstate 5 and went over a steep, 75-foot embankment on Military Road South at SeaTac on Saturday afternoon.
The passengers were treated at the scene by fire departments and King County Medics and then transported to local hospitals for further evaluation. The condition of the passengers and the cause of the crash are unknown at this time, authorities said.
Just before 4 p.m. the driver of the car was traveling northbound on I-5, attempting to take exit 151 where the accident occurred. The car came to rest between two trees at the bottom of the hill.
Due to the steep terrain, emergency units from Kent Fire Department, South King Fire & Rescue, North Highline Fire Department, Auburn Fire Department and King County Medic One responded with technical rescue teams and personnel.
The technical rescue teams set up rope rescue systems to get personnel and equipment down the embankment to help the passengers.
