Kent Police are looking for the driver who was responsible for a hit-and-run incident that seriously injured a bicyclist in the area of Southeast 256th Street and 135th Avenue Southeast last Friday morning.
Officers responding to a 911 caller who told police that he found the victim, 47-year-old Andrew DinAlpha XR, on the ground. Police arrived and found the man conscious.
The man, riding his tri-bike around 5:30 a.m., was heading westbound on SE 256th Street at 135th Avenue SE when he was hit from behind in the bike lane on the north side of 256th between a fire hydrant and telephone pole near the Metro bus stop.
DinAlpha XR will need months of rehabilitation before he can walk again, according to the family.
Police said they have no suspects but are looking for possibly a gray or silver vehicle with front end or passenger side damage.
