Kent city officials sent out a scam alert Friday morning via Twitter about someone with a white truck and a Kent logo offering to pick up tree limbs for $25 cash.
The city of Kent is not offering that service to residents. A resident called the city to report the incident.
City officials said if residents are solicited for this service they should get a license number of the truck and call 911.
