Firefighters from King County District 20 (Skyway), Renton and Tukwila responded this afternoon to a report of a house fire in the 8100 block of South 120 Street.
The fire was first reported to 911 at 12:45 p.m. by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from the two-story house next door.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames in an exterior wall of the house along a deck. By attacking the fire quickly, they were able to keep it from spreading to other parts of the house. Once the fire was knocked down, firefighters checked the attic space to ensure that the fire had not spread to that area.
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injuries. The fire is under investigation by the King County Fire Marshal’s Office.
