A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in the 500 block of 4th Avenue South, Kent Police reported.
Police recovered the weapon and have a man in custody. Police released no other details.
“Our releasable information is limited as we are early in the investigation,” Cmdr. Jarod Kasner said in an email. “As we confirm more we will release information.”
Police don’t believe the shooting was a random act and don’t believe the incident is related to three recent homicides in Kent.
The shooting reportedly happened around 2 a.m.
