Amber alert issued for girl taken in Kent | Update: girl found unharmed

The amber alert has been cancelled Tuesday for Aleionna Wilson, a 14-month-old girl taken from a Kent daycare by her father.

The child is unharmed and the suspect is in custody. They were found in New Mexico. The father took the child last week but the alert didn’t go out until Tuesday.

The suspect is Aleiondro Wilson, 37, who is reportedly driving a 2004 tan Chevy Tahoe and towing a U-Haul trailer, according to the Washington State Patrol. Wilson allegedly took his daughter from a Kent daycare without permission.

Amber alerts are issued, according to the U.S. Department of Justice guidelines, when:

• There is reasonable belief by law enforcement that an abduction has occurred.

• The law enforcement agency believes that the child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.

• There is enough descriptive information about the victim and the abduction for law enforcement to issue an amber alert to assist in the recovery of the child.

• The abduction is of a child aged 17 years or younger.

Anyone with information about the case should call 911.
