Want a fun Halloween Party for kids? Then take them to the annual city of Kent Halloween Party from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 31 at Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N. The party is recommended for children in pre-school through the fifth grade. The cost is $5 per child. Adults and children younger than age 2 get in for free.

City staff turns Kent Commons into a haunted house with witches, goblins, ghosts, clowns and other creatures.

The hands-on activities include pumpkin head decorating, ghoulfish pond fishing, horrifying hole-in-one golf, frightening face painting and the “Sqeal of Fortune” carnival game. Costumes are not required but are encouraged for children and adults.
