Motorsport Mayhem, presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, returns to the Washington State Spring Fair in Puyallup on April 21, 22, and 23.
The Monster Truck Show is 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, and the Slamfest Demolition Derby is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22 with “chain and go” rules and a fireworks show following both performances. The Sunday, April 23 Slamfest kicks off at 4 p.m. and features the second annual boat bash, with large cars dragging boats.
These are separate ticketed events, though advance purchase tickets include Spring Fair admission, a $12 value. All seats are reserved, and the grandstand opens one hour prior to showtime. Each event is held rain or shine. To purchase Monster Truck or Slamfest tickets online, visit thefair.com.
Tickets are also sold by phone at 888-559-FAIR (3247), daily, 7 a.m. to8 p.m.; or in person at the Washington State Fair’s Box Office at 9th Avenue SW and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on site will be charged a $2 per ticket service fee.
The Spring Fair in Puyallup offers fun for all ages and interests, including Swifty Swine Pig Races, Northwest Living & Garden, presented by Mattress Firm, free entertainment, DockDogs, the Northwest Junior Livestock Show and Sale, nearly 350 exhibits, food, rides, and much more. Kids, ages 0-18 years, can enjoy free gate admission from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 only.
Nonperishable donations are recommended for the Puyallup Food Bank’s food drive throughout the day on Thursday. Military Appreciation Day, presented by KVI 570 AM and KOMO News Radio 1000AM/97.7 FM will be on Friday, April 21 with free gate admission to active, reserve, retired military and their dependents with valid military ID.
Discount gate tickets are available March 24 to April 23 at select South Sound locations: Safeway, Albertson’s, Fred Meyer and South Hill Mall for $10 (adults), and $8 (students 6-18 years). Adult gate tickets are $12 at the gate, and students (6-18 years) are $10 at the gate. Children 5 years and under are free. Parking is free. Hours are Thursday (4/20) from 2-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday (4/21-4/22) 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday (4/23) from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
