The Kentlake High School Drama Club will present Rogers and Hammerstein “South Pacific” May 5-8.
Times are 7 p.m. for evening performances and 2 p.m. Saturday for matinees. Performances will be at the Kentlake High Performing Arts Center, 21401 S.E. 300th St.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door or online at brownpapertickets.com. Veterans and active duty military personnel get in for free.
The story is set in an island paradise during World War II, where two parallel romances are threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war.
Familiar hit songs from the musical include, “Some Enchanted Evening,” “There is Nothing like a Dame,” “Bali Hai” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair”.
