Quota Cares Western Days returned to Reber Ranch on Lea Hill last Saturday, providing fun and games for about 250 area children with special needs and their families.
Quota International of Kent Valley hosted the free, fun-filled event for kids. Western-themed activities include pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, arts and crafts, maze race and other attractions. A free hot lunch was provided.
According to Beth Schratenboer, of Quota International of Kent Valley, the day is important for families and children.
“It’s a free day of no rules, no expectations,” she said. “The only rule is to have fun in a small, safe environment.”
Quota International is a nonprofit organization empowering women, children, the deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired in local communities around the world.
