The annual Kent Winterfest Celebration returns on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Town Square Plaza, 115 Second Ave. N.
Presented by the Kent Lions Club, the event includes the tree and park lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
Local bands and choirs perform from 1 to 4:45 p.m. at the park’s stage. Holiday children’s activities are at 3 p.m. at the nearby Kent Library. Santa will arrive to light the tree.
Free hot apple cider, hot chocolate and popcorn will be available. Activities include a free raffle with prizes for children and adults.
People are asked to bring new toys for the Puget Sound Fire Toys for Joy program, food for the Kent Food Bank and used eye glasses for Lions International.
