Kent Toast and Boast will host a celebratory meeting from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the fourth floor conference room of the Kent Centennial building, 400 W. Gowe St., for members and guests in honor of Toastmaster’s International Week.
The group will provide lunch, fun speeches and answer any questions guests might have about joining Toastmasters.
Gov. Jay Inslee recently proclaimed the week of Feb. 5-11 as Toastmaster International Week in the state of Washington.
Toastmaster’s International is a leading organization in teaching public speaking, leadership and communication development. Toastmasters has both national and international clubs.
Kent has three Toastmaster clubs: the Kent Evening club meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Kent Commons, Kent Toast and Boast meets at noon Thursdays at the Kent Centennial Building and Green River Toastmasters meets at 6:30 a.m. on Fridays at Mitzel’s restaurant. Guests are welcome.
