Drinks, music and community spirit are on the menu at the Kent Downtown Partnership’s Cider & Ale Trail event in historic downtown.
The event, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, features a diverse selection of ciders, ales and other beverages while enjoying the charm of Kent’s historic district.
With tasting tickets in hand, you will embark on an evening exploring various local businesses, each of which hosts a cidery, brewery, or distillery offering tastings of their finest beverages, according to Kent Downtown Partnership.
“Find a new favorite? Grab a six-pack or bottle and take your new find home with you to share with friends or keep all to yourself,” according to Kent Downtown Partnership.
Participating cideries and breweries include: 23rd Ave Brewery, of Seattle; Distant West Brewing Company, of Seattle; James Bay Distillers, of Everett; Mastrogiannis Distillery & Winery, of Lakewood; NightSide Distillery, of Edgewood; Seattle Cider Company; Thorntail Hard Agave, of Seattle; and more to come.
The event will feature live music at various locations.
While you’re tasting your way through downtown Kent, stop by Page Turner Books for their Fall Festi Con, featuring spooky art and guest horror authors from 3 to 9 p.m. They’ll be hosting a cosplay contest for kids and adults–drop by to have your costume judged from 6 to 7p.m. and see the winners announced at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Pick up tasting tickets or buy at-the-door admission at 202 W. Gowe St. Shops and restaurants are open to the public; tasting requires a ticket and 21 or older age verification.
