Quench your thirst along the Downtown Kent Cider & Ale Trail from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 11.
Tickets are $35, which includes 10 tastings, disposable glass, wrist band and program guide. For tickets, go to downtownkentwa.com. The Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) will present the event.
”Participants will enjoy specialty beer and cider offerings while rubbing elbows with Kent and regional brewers,” said Erica Carew, KDP program coordinator. “The community has always loved the downtown wine walks, but they’ve also asked for events centered around beer and cider, so we are super excited to kick the spring off with this event.
“Our goal is to provide patrons a fun way to try new products and learn more about what makes Washington ciders and ales so great.”
Visitors are encouraged to come early and get acquainted with downtown shops and restaurants. Merchants are welcoming friends and neighbors to join in celebrating and cultivating vitality in the charming historic district. Attendees can explore the diverse flavors of Kent on the downtown food trail, including Sushi, African, Thai, Cajun, Mexican, bistros and pubs. The event will also include a live music performance.
The participating cideries and breweries so far include Half Lion Brewery, 2 Towns Cider House, Black Fleet Brewing, Greenwood Brewing, Logan Brewing, Narrows Brewing Company, Schilling Cider, Diamond Knot Brewing Co.. Guests can also purchase cider and beer products tax-free to bring home.
By purchasing a ticket, you are attesting your ability to show proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test in advance of the event. Proof will be required at check-in, under current King County guidelines. There will be no exceptions or refunds. In effort to keep staff and patrons safe, masks required when not tasting.
