Dolly Parton will perform on Wednesday

Dolly Parton will bring her Pure & Simple tour to the ShoWare Center in Kent at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Parton, 70, who has had 25 songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts, announced dates and cities for her tour on Monday.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 29 at showarecenter.com and the ShoWare Center box office, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Tickets are $125, $89.50, $67.50, $44.50 and $39.50.

Parton has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. She has seven Grammy Awards and is one of only six female artists to win the Country Music Associations’s Entertainer of the Year Award, which she won in 1978. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999 in Nashville. Her Grammy Award winning songs included “9 to 5” and “Here You Come Again.”
