For the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, comes a fresh perspective on the Normandy Invasion and the following three-month campaign.
On Saturday, June 8, American historian Edward Gordon delivers a presentation based upon his book with British author David Ramsay, “Divided on D-Day” at the Museum of Flight.
The 2 p.m. program spotlights the conflicting egos, national rivalries and professional abilities of the principal D-Day commanders, and how certain decisions may have in fact prolonged the war. A book signing will follow the presentation.
The program is free with museum admission.
The museum is at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158, off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field, halfway between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport.
