Country duo Florida Georgia Line will perform Dec. 14 at the ShoWare Center in Kent during its first headlining tour.
ShoWare Center officials said Monday that ticket information will be released soon.
It’s been more than two decades since a new country act has captured the public’s imagination the way Florida Georgia Line has, according to the duo’s website.
The duo’s multi-week No. 1 single, “Cruise,” hit the Top 10 just 14 weeks after its release, faster than any debut since Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man.”
To date, “Cruise,” alone has sold well over one million; reached No. 1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart and helped secure them a spot on Luke Bryan’s tour in 2013. The hit is part of their first album “Here’s to the Good Times.”
Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have thrilled audiences on tour dates with Alabama, Brantley Gilbert and Jake Owen.
“It’s safe to say it’s been a real whirlwind for us,” Hubbard said. “It’s been awesome.”
“It’s a dream come true,” said Kelley, “although it still kind of feels like just yesterday that we were writing the first couple of songs on the back of Tyler’s tailgate.”
The duo opens their Here’s to the Good Times tour Oct. 3 in Brookings, S.D.
