The Birmingham Boys Choir presents a choral concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th, Kent.
Rainier Youth Choirs, concert host, will open the program with a short set. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
The concert is part of the choir’s 2017 Concert Tour to the American Northwest.
The Birmingham Boys Choir tours extensively having traveled to Japan, Costa Rica, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada and throughout the United States.
The choir’s repertoire will include music of Bach, Handel and Holst, as well as other sacred hymn and spiritual settings. Also included will be folk songs and vocal jazz.
The Birmingham Boys Choir is a nonprofit, civic organization built to allow boys the opportunity to more fully develop their gifts in an area of concentrated study. Specifically, they specialize in vocal development and music reading skills.
