Academy Schools co-hosts an Empty Bowl event at Northwest Harvest’s Kent warehouse on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
For a tax deductible contribution of $15 per person, join students, families, friends and faculty as they help to bring awareness about the impact of hunger on the community and communities worldwide. Each donor will receive a bowl of soup from Pike Place Chowder, bread and a handmade ceramic bowl to take home as a reminder that every day, there are empty bowls around the globe.
Academy Schools, which celebrates its 20 anniversary and Northwest Harvest, which its 50th anniversary, co-host the event.
Northwest Harvest is at 22220 68th Ave. S., Kent.
