Backing our superintendent amid difficult times

I would like to express my support and appreciation to Kent School District Superintendent Calvin Watts. He is being responsible by balancing the district budget.

I would like to express my total dismay in the teachers’ union. The union has completely lost my trust. They are not about the children or the community. They are all about themselves. They have become militant in their positions. They couldn’t care less about the greater good.

I speak of the union and its greatest supporters. I know many teachers. My daughter, who came up through the Kent School District, became a teacher. My daughter-in-law is a teacher. I have friends who are teachers. I admire those teachers who teach. For the union and its minions, I have no respect. I believe teacher unions have a negative impact on our society and should be banned.

Superintendent Watts, hang in there, and don’t cave to the threats. In fact, I would fire them, but you’re probably too nice a guy.
