The Legislature’s “investigation” of Rep. Matt Shea (R-Spokane Valley) is alarming. A political appointee – a far left one at that – was authorized to spend taxpayer money to hire a private investigator to do what, exactly? To see if he broke the law? That’s a job for law enforcement.
In fact, the FBI has investigated Rep. Shea. No charges have been filed.
Have you read any of that “report?” Private citizens were investigated as well. So the Legislature can spend our money to investigate anybody they want? Frightening. That has to stop.
The report contains a “threat assessment?” Not one punch was thrown, not one shot was fired in any of the instances in the report. He is a “domestic terrorist?” This is libelous. I hope Rep. Shea sues them – and wins.
The report uses the phrase “political violence.” Dictionary.com defines violence as “behavior or treatment in which physical force is exerted for the purpose of causing damage or injury.” No fighting, no shooting, no violence. No violence, no terrorism. That simple.
Heads up, citizens – you might be next.
