Kent’s “American Idol” star Stefano Langone had his contract option picked up by 19 Management, according to reports Monday in The Hollywood Reporter.
Langone, 22, a graduate of Kentwood High School, placed seventh on the past season of “American Idol.” He joins fellow finalists Pia Toscano, Haley Reinhart and James Durbin as part of Los Angeles-based 19 Management, which will oversee album contracts for the singers.
Langone, who sang the national anthem at the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game Saturday at the ShoWare Center in Kent, is expected to get an album contract, although no announcement has been made yet about such a contract.
Durbin recently had his option picked up by 19 Management and signed with Wind-Up Records to record an album.
Langone just completed his “American Idol” tour with the other Season 10 finalists. Their final stop was Sept. 20 in the Philippines. The tour started
July 6 in Utah and included a July 8 stop in Everett.
“American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina are managed by Simon Fuller and his company XIX Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
