Best Western in Kent receives honors at company convention

Plaza by the Green meets levels of quality, guest satisfaction and dedication to the brand standards

The Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green in Kent recently received Best Western’s highest honor at a company convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

The hotel received Best Western’s M.K. Guertin Award, given to the hotels that best represent the vision of Best Western’s founder and demonstrate exceptional levels of quality, guest satisfaction, and dedication to the brand, according to a Nov. 10 Best Western press release. The hotels must meet brand standards and quality of service requirements to qualify for this award.

The Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green is one of only 49 hotels out of 2,400 properties in North America to receive this award, which was presented in front of about 2,000 company hoteliers.

“The M.K. Guertin Award honors Best Western hotels that demonstrate exemplary performance in key service areas that are important to our customers and to our brand,” said Larry Cuculic, president and CEO of Best Western Hotels & Resorts. “We recognize the Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green for inspiring travel and for delivering extraordinary service to guests that builds brand loyalty.”

Located at 24415 Russell Road, adjacent to the Riverbend Golf Course, the Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green features 97 rooms and a golf simulator, fitness center, sundry shop and complimentary breakfast.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, is a privately held hotel brand within the BWH Hotel Group.
