The Kent Chamber of Commerce’s East Hill Partnership is organizing a work party to help clean up the vacant lot at 240th and 104th in anticipation of the installation of a mural at the site.
The clean-up will take place at 5:30 p.m. July 29 in preparation for the Aug. 6 ceremony.
Students from Kent-Meridian High School will be joining in the effort and Golden Steer restaurant will be donating food after the clean-up is complete.
Volunteers, as well as equipment, including a pick-up truck to haul debris off the site, are needed for the work.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the clean-up effort should contact Dana Krawchuk, Kent Chamber membership director, at danak@kentchamber. com by July 22.
