Paint Kent Station Purple and support Relay for Life

Paint Kent Station Purple during the month of May by purchasing a passport with discounts at Kent Station and help support the American Cancer Society. All of the proceeds from the purchase of the $25 passport benefit the Relay For Life of Kent.

“Kent Station is proud to promote Paint Kent Station Purple as a way to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.” Cynthia Boyd, Kent Station’s marketing manager, said in a media release. “Not only are our customers helping support a worthy cause but they will also get to enjoy discounts such as 10- to 15-percent off at several restaurants, discounts on massages and more.”

According to the American Cancer Society website, Relay For Life is the organization’s signature fundraiser. The relay brings communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers and raise money to help the ACS make a global impact on cancer.

The community is invited to additional fundraising events during the month-long fundraiser. The RAM hosts a takeover night from 5-9 p.m. Monday, May 8. Road Runner Sports will have a fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23. Customers can enjoy extra discounts, a free chair massage from Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa and other treats from around Kent Station. That same day Kigo Kitchen, Kent Station’s newest restaurant, will host a takeover event and will donate a portion of the proceeds to the ACS.

“The Relay For Life of Kent team is thankful to Kent Station and all of the participating merchants and customers who are helping us raise funds for our much needed programs,” Season Oltmann, senior market manager for the American Cancer Society, said in the release.

Relay For Life of Kent is set for Friday through Saturday, June 2 and 3 at French Field.
