Glint Car Wash opens on Kent Kangley Road

At same corner as Sonic Drive-In, Starbucks

The new Glint Car Wash has opened in the same shopping complex as Starbucks and Sonic Drive-In at the northeast corner of 116th Avenue Southeast and Kent Kangley Road.

Kent Mayor Dana Ralph helped celebrate the grand opening on Sept. 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This marks the first location for Glint, which plans to open a car wash next year in Marysville as well as other locations, according to its website. Prices start at $9 per wash.

Glint had hoped to open earlier in the summer but COVID-19 delayed construction, according to an email from Rune Harkestad, vice president of Kidder Mathews, a commercial real estate company with an office in Bellevue.

Sonic and Starbucks opened in 2018 at the new development on the previously vacant corner.
