Kid to Kid: children’s and maternity resale store opens

Offering new and gently used items

The new Kid to Kid resale store in Kent recently hosted its grand opening celebration.

The store, at 12928 SE Kent-Kangley Road near 24 Hour Fitness and Trader Joe’s, offers quality shoes, clothes, toys, maternity gear and baby equipment at affordable prices.

For owner Gina Payne, running a kids’ clothing store hits home.

“I love kids,” she said, “so I love how this store benefits families by offering new and gently loved items from maternity needs, to baby equipment, to books and toys, and to children’s clothes from preemie to size 14.”

Payne and her staff have been excited for months to open the store. It’s their goal for families to leave the store happy with their experience.

“If we don’t have a particular item at the time you come in, please keep coming back as hundreds of new and gently used items come in every week,” she added.

Beyond the business aspect of the new store, Payne and her staff are devoted to the people and neighborhoods they serve.

“We are a small business that provides a great service to the local community,” Payne said.

She emphasized that her store is not only valuable for shoppers looking for a bargain, but that it also supports local charities.

“We offer new and gently used items that come from people living in this community,” Payne said. “We also offer a donation service that provides donations to two local charity organizations.”

The store will continue to pay community members for gently used kids’ apparel and items in cash or store credit.
