The Kent Tractor Supply Company store hosts its grand opening Saturday, with specially priced merchandise on sale through Sunday.

The store, at 8420 S. 228th St., officially opened for business Feb. 20.

The Kent location is Tractor Supply’s 32nd store in Washington and employs 15 team members. The facility has 26,197 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.

Tractor Supply is one of the largest rural lifestyle retail store chains in the United States.

“Kent is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because there are a lot of families with riding stables and hobby farms in the area,” said store manager Jeremy Miller. “Our knowledgeable, friendly team looks forward to providing our neighbors with Tractor Supply’s legendary customer service.”

Miller, a South Dakota native, joined Tractor Supply in 2008 at the Del’s Feed & Farm Supply location in Auburn. Prior to joining Tractor Supply, he served in the U.S. Army for five years.

As store manager, Miller oversees all store operations, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.

The grand opening event Saturday features the local police and fire departments and a local 4-H fundraiser, among other activities. Regular operating hours for the store are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
