OMAX Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacture and support of advanced abrasive waterjet machines and accessories, has once again made Inc. Magazine’s 500|5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America.
The magazine develops this list annually to recognize and celebrate the success of growing companies, and this is OMAX’s third appearance on the esteemed list.
OMAX ranks 134th as the fastest-growing, privately held company in the manufacturing industry and 3,211st overall on this year’s list, having experienced 101 percent business growth between 2009 and 2012. The company attributes much of its growth to the increased demand for its products and services around the world. To date, the company is present in more than 50 countries through OMAX team members and distribution partners.
To accommodate its growth, OMAX recently expanded its headquarters and manufacturing campus in Kent by adding a new 22,000-square-foot training, research and development center. The company is also making significant investments in its research and development department to be able to explore the frontier of new abrasive waterjet technology, including micromachining, as well as continuously develop high quality, versatile solutions that further reduce production costs and simplify part processing.

The timing of this Inc. magazine honor corresponds with the company’s 20th year in business. On Aug. 20, OMAX held a special anniversary event at its headquarters to celebrate two decades of continuous innovation in abrasive waterjet technology.
