Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced and fresh grilled subs, will open in The Marketplace at Lake Meridian, 12964 SE Kent Kangley Rd., on Wednesday, March 16.

The restaurant is distributing 5,000 coupons for a free regular sub with a minimum $2 contribution to the Millennium Elementary School PTO, from March 16-20. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.

The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

This is Jersey Mike’s second Kent location. The first is 18119 East Valley Highway South.

The East Hill franchise is owned by Robert Martin.

“One taste of a Jersey Mike’s sub and I was hooked,” Martin said in a press release. “After learning more about the brand culture and opportunity for growth in Washington, I knew Jersey Mike’s was the right fit for me.”

Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $14 million for local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. All March long, franchisees are celebrating the sixth Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving. Last year, $3 million was raised for 150 different charities nationwide.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In 2015, for the second year in a row, the company was named the No. 1 fastest growing chain in the Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100.
