Jersey Mike’s Subs on Kent’s East Hill recently raised more than $2,000 for the Millennium Elementary School PTO.
The restaurant, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in The Marketplace at Lake Meridian, 12964 SE Kent Kangley Rd., on March 16.
“Our grand opening in Kent focused on a five-day fundraiser for Millennium Elementary School PTO,” franchise owner Robert Martin said in a press release. “It was gratifying to see how the community responded to our new location and supporting the elementary school. We’re very proud to have raised $2,250.”
Jersey Mike’s distributed 5,000 coupons for a free sub in exchange for a donation to the Kent school.
Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $14 million for local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. March marked Jersey Mike’s sixth annual Month of Giving.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide.
