A guide to Kent’s new business and occupation (B&O) is available on the city’s website.
The Kent City Council adopted a B&O tax in October to help raise an estimated $5 million annually to pay for street repairs. The B&O tax becomes effective in January 2013.
The guide provides a basic description of the tax and focuses on typical types of businesses and business activities.
