Texas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has opened a restaurant in Kent.
Dickey’s, 1428 W. Meeker St., Suite 102, is in a building at a small strip mall that previously housed a Thai restaurant.
In 1941, Travis Dickey opened the first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Dallas, according to the company’s website. There are more than 300 locations across the nation.
Dickey’s serves beef brisket, pulled pork, ham, polish sausage, turkey breast and chicken, with an extensive array of home-style sides from jalapeño beans to macaroni and cheese. Buttery rolls are served with every meal along with complimentary ice cream and dill pickles. Kids eat free on Sundays.
The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. For more information, call 253-852-5251 or go to dickeys.com.
