Officers help kids pick out gifts

About 50 children joined with Kent Police officers on Saturday at the Target store on the East Hill to buy holiday gifts for the families of the kids.

Kent Youth and Family Services and the Kent Target joined with the police for the annual Heroes & Helpers or Shop with a Cop event. Children are paired with an officer to help pick out gifts using a $100 gift card.
