People with BECU debit cards were unable to use cash machines Friday afternoon after the CO-OP Network went down nationwide at about 12:05 p.m., according to the BECU website.
But by 5 p.m., the transactions were starting to work again.
“The third-party network that handles debit card transactions nationally for a number of banks and credit unions crashed on Friday,” according to the BECU website. “It disrupted BECU members’ transactions for a few hours. The network is currently recovering and is processing transactions again. It will be a few hours before it’s at 100 percent.”
The BECU website will post updates.
