More than 650 seventh- and eighth-graders got a closer look at different occupations from the people who hold them at the Career Fair at Meeker Middle School on Wednesday.
The Kent Chamber of Commerce and partners presented the program.
Representatives from the varied work force engaged the young audience, providing general information and education requirements necessary to pursue a career path.
The goal was to expose students to a variety of future career possibilities. The career fair provided the opportunity for students to start thinking about their long-term goals before they begin high school.
