Chamber to host seminar on branding

The next Kent Chamber of Commerce Marketing Toolbox Seminar is scheduled for June 10 and will feature a discussion of branding – “let your customers know why they should only do business with you.”

The Marketing Toolbox is facilitated by Kirk Davis, a certified business advisor at the Green River Community College Small Business Assistance Center.

The seminar will be at 8 a.m. June 10 at the Kent Chamber office, 524 W. Meeker St.

The seminar is free to members and $10 to non-members.

East Hill Partnership meets June 10

The next meeting of the East Hill Partnership committee, a group dedicated to commerce in the East Hill community, is scheduled for 3 p.m. June 10 at Golden Steer, 23826 104th Ave. S.E.

This committee has formed to work on promoting and addressing issues on the East Hill and will work to better promote and market the East Hill Businesses and area.

The East Hill Partnership meets at 3 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. For more information call the Chamber of Commerce at 253-854-1770.

Mama Stortini’s opens at Kent Station

Mama Stortini’s Restaurant and Bar is now open at Kent Station, in the former Zephyr location.

Named for and using the recipes of Josephine Stortini, who immigrated to the United States as a baby in 1910, the restaurant features traditional southern Italian food, made with northwest products. The Kent location is the second Mama Stortini’s. The first opened in Puyallup in 1993. For more information or to make a reservation, call 253-854-5050.
