The Kent Downtown Partnership will host its annual dinner and auction at 5:30 p.m. June 20 at the Kent Senior Activity Center.

Among the items available at the auction will be a one hour massage at Vitality Chiropractic, a five-hour picnic at Rocco’s Salsa Dogs hot dog stand, a round of golf for two at Meridian Valley Country Club, an entire house carpet cleaning by SERVPRO, a full page color ad in the Kent Reporter, four hours of handyman labor donated by Roger Gouin, a ride along with members of the Kent Police Department and an introductory flight care of Crest Air Park.

Funds from the auction go to the revitalization of downtown Kent.

Goodwill in need of donations

Donations to Goodwill stores around the region including Kent have not been keeping pace with need in the past few months and Goodwill is making an urgent call for gently used clothing and household items.

According to Goodwill, the Kent store expects a 20 percent increase in demand for services through the remainder of this year.

Goodwill will also provide free pickup of large furniture items. Call 253.573.1333 ext. 306 for more information.

The Kent Goodwill store is located at 25814 102nd Place S.E. Store hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday. Donations are accepted during business hours.

The next Good Morning Kent! meeting is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. June 18 at Pat’s Bar and Grill, 114 Railroad Ave. N.
