PORTLAND – Seattle Thunderbirds goalie Calvin Pickard made 20 saves against the Portland Winter Hawks Saturday night in Portland to lead to the T-Birds to a 4-0 shutout win.
Pickard stopped eight shots in the first period, seven shots in the second period and five shots in the third period to get his first WHL win and first WHL shutout. Pickard's record is now 1-3-0-0.
