License your pet: The city of Kent and Regional Animal Services of King County will be going door-to-door starting this weekend

Pet licensers going door to door in Kent; you can purchase a license on your doorstep

As part of Kent’s partnership with Regional Animal Services of King County, starting this weekend, door-to-door marketers will be canvassing neighborhoods to sell licenses for dogs and cats, at their human’s door step. The hours will be: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Weekdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Have you been told you look like your dog or cat? Here's your chance to see if you're right: from 1-5 p.m. Sept. 25, Kent Station will host an event for pet owners and the animals who love them. The fun includes, of course, a contest for those starting to resemble their pets (that event gets under way at 1 p.m.)

Air Force Airman Anthony J. Hembree graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Garber, a Kentwood High School alumnus, is attending the University of Washington Foster School of Business in Seattle, and anticipates a 2011 graduation date.
